Recommended Books
I have read all of these and recommend them to you. Christians need to be informed, and we need to develop the mindsets that will equip us to serve God well and to stand together in the days to come. Christian Book Distributors and are both good sources.

Concerns, instruction about possible events to come
IMMOVABLE, Standing Firm in the Last Days by Dr. Tim Riordan, with discussion guide. A Pastor and Bible teacher's perspective on how current American and world events corrolate with Bible prophecy. Order here, or Amazon., Info, excerpt here,
THE HARBINGER by Jonathan Cahn links events in America to signs that warned Israel of impending destruction. It presents historical facts in a fictional/narrative style and you can buy it many places including CBD. "The Harbinger Decoded" tells you about the book and you can see it on YouTube here. Other messages by Cahn are there including this interesting one. Amazon info/reviews.
FOUR BLOOD MOONS by John Hagee shows how Scripture, science and history aligned with each other in the last three series of Four Blood Moons. The current series, from April 15, 2014 to Sept. 28, 2015, includes an extremely rare correlation of Blood Moon events and Jewish feasts. I especially recommend Section 3, beginning on p169, or even just Chap. 16, p223, "The Four Blood Moons of 2014-15." Here's a short 10/16/13 Fox News report on the subject, and you can learn more by searching for "four blood moons" at Amazon info/reviews.
THE MYSTERY OF THE SHEMITAH, Jonathan Cahn, FrontLine. The Mystery of the Shemitah is basically a book about the Biblical Sabbath and Jubilee cycles and how they relate to socioeconomic cycles in the context of a Biblical message of repentance. The author makes a pretty detailed case for his theory that financial and economic events of today may be influenced by these two ancient Biblical cycles, and he is quite specific in some suggestions about what could happen in September 2015.   The Truth About Islam, ISIS, & Christian Persecution Today
Islam Uncensored, Jeff King. 14 Leaders: Liberals, Conservatives, Muslims, Jews, Atheists, Christians and a Former CIA Director reveal what government and media won't tell you about Islam. It's compelling argument is that Islam is, by the design of Mohammad, violent toward non-Muslims, especially Christians and Jews. Available at
I believe that the typical American Muslim is as secular as the typical American Christian. Neither accurately represents their founder. Those we like to call "Radical Muslims" are simply those who are true to authentic Islam. Are there American-Christian counterparts?

Killing Christians: Living the Faith Where It's Not Safe to Believe, Tom Doyle. "To many Christians in the Middle East today, a “momentary, light affliction” means enduring only torture instead of martyrdom. The depth of oppression Jesus followers suffer is unimaginable to most Western Christians. Yet, it is an everyday reality for those who choose faith over survival in Syria, Iran, Egypt, Lebanon, and other countries hostile to the Gospel of Christ. In Killing Christians, Tom Doyle takes readers to the secret meetings, the torture rooms, the grim prisons, and even the executions that are the “calling” of countless Muslims-turned-Christians." Taken from

The ISIS Crisis, Charles Dyer. An excellent book on where ISIS came from; how it is different from other terrorist groups; what it means for Israel; what impact could it have on the United States; how believers should respond, and more. At
Hearts of Fire: Eight Women in the Underground Church and Their Stories of Costly Faith, The Voice of the Martyrs. "Eight women from eight very different backgrounds. Yet the struggles they each faced rang with eerie similarity. These courageous women from across the globe-Pakistan, India, Romania, Former Soviet Union, China, Vietnam, Nepal, Indonesia-shared similar experiences of hardship, subjugation, and persecution, all because of their faith in Christ. Yet all of these women have emerged from adversity as leaders and heroines," from
DREAMS and VISIONS, Is Jesus Awakening the Muslim World? Tom Doyle, Thomas Nelson. A collection of stories from the world of Islam. Doyle not only relates these stories but also addresses the questions: Why would God use dreams to reach the Muslim world? Can dreams be trusted? What happens after these dreams or visions occur?
SECRET BELIEVERS, What Happens when Muslims Believe in Christ, Brother Andrew, Revell. This is a riveting true story of the church in Islamic countries struggling to come to grips with hostile governments, terrorist acts, and an influx of Muslims coming to Christ.

When God Sent Grace to the Soviet Gulag: One Man's Incredible Journey to Freedom, Andrew Mytych. Not contemporary but an inspiring story of finding personal freedom in accepting the purposes of our sovereign God. At

Encouragement on how God is at work, and our response
MIRACULOUS MOVEMENTS, Jerry Trousdale, Thomas Nelson. How Hundreds of Thousands of Muslims are Falling in Love with Jesus. The radical but entirely Biblical approach of CityTeam International is also instructive for winning non-Muslims to Christ, and will be especially so in the days ahead. It is available free upon request and will bless you in many ways. Amazon reviews.
FINISHING THE TASK, How Indigenous Missionaries are Reaching the Unreached in the 21st Century, Wine Press Publishing, Christian Aid Mission. "Join in the faith journey of nine indigenous missionaries who discover that a life lived for God can entail amazing adventures. These true stories will embolden your walk with God." Amazon info. TABLES IN THE WILDERNESS, Preston Yancey, Zondervan. The fascinating story of a young man's pilgrimage from where he had things about God pretty well figured out; to where he questioned God and faith; and finally to a place of deep belief in God and in the Church instead of in his own little world of personal beliefs and Christian culture. Excellent for those in whom God is stirring up a restlessness about "things as they are" as He prepares us for things to come. Amazon info/reviews

 * Here’s a bottom-line thought. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain by viewing American and world events as a wake-up call. If Christian-Americans were to take this to heart the resultant repentance and new Life would make us more like the people God always intended us to be. This would extend the time of God’s grace upon America; and/or empower us to stand firm and to serve Him effectively through difficulties. If such difficulties are only imagined by some (like me), we would have become a more authentic and vibrant Church and would have enjoyed God in an incredibly richer way. Regardless, we win. And regardless, it would be another proof that all things, even evil, ultimately serve the Lord our God! - Isaiah 46:9-10 - II Peter 3:8-9
