Photos are from the 9/03 and 9/06 International Seaplane Fly-in. #2 and 3# are the Bush Pilot Canoe Race where one guy paddles the canoe out to the floating dock. The pilot waits until he's almost there, fires up, races out to the dock and shuts down. They tie the canoe on together and race back to shore.

#4 shows '50 Charlie getting ready to challenge the Bull Beaver for the takeoff contest. He gets out of the watter pretty well!. Then in #6 we have Tom and his friend in N1577C making one of several passes for the day. These guys love to fly! That's a pretty basic panel in the 180 there, don't you think!

Cessna 180 on floats at Lake Hood Seaplane Base, Anchorage, AK 5/10. Let's get in the cockpit with pilot Joe and listen to him talk to himself in what was probably their first flight since freeze up last fall. "Okay, the ice went out yesterday, so lets play a little today. Here we go. We're coming up on the channel now - left float out and let's make her fly. Okay, a little more back pressure. Come on now baby, FLY for me!! Shucks, you win, we'll spend a little more time in the water - - Okay, NOW we'll go." So how do some of your flights look after a break of several months!?!? Yep, been there, done that!
